I have the pleasure of working with many nonprofit organizations that help communities to become more stable, vital, and just. These are grassroots efforts to manage sprawl, promote transportation choices, and engage all populations.

The Weed & Seed Program hired me to design the 16-page Phillips Neighborhood Weed & Seed Program Resource Directory. Not only did I get to work with great people-filled photos of organized community events, I created an illustrated 2-page map (not shown) of the neighborhood, highlighting libraries, parks, schools, medical facilities, and cultural sites. I used aerial photos; but mostly I walked the area, sketching and taking photos on which to base my artwork.

The cover is 4-color; the interior pages are 2-color.
